Yellow Pine is a softwood regularly used internally for building projects.
We have used this material a number of times for customers for use in staircases when a hardwood is not the timber of choice.
Uses: Joinery - Exterior & Interior
Species Group: Softwood
Durability: 4 - Slightly durable
Colour description: Yellow Brown
Mean density: 420Kg/m3
Durability is a measurement of how long a specific species of timber would last if a 50mm x 50mm cross section was left in the ground unprotected. An untreated Yellow Pine beam classed as ‘slightly durable’ will last 5-10 years depending on environmental conditions.
